Hi Folks,
Lost Phone - Lost my phone and had it replaced last week. Some of
you have already supplied me with your numbers, thanks. Anyone else
who wants to stay in touch (hopefully that includes Karl in Coventry
and Tom from Afterssential as well as many others who I can't now
remember 'cos I lost my phone, <sob>), please let me have
your number.
New reviews and pics on website - Review of Twisted, London and
lots of pics from it last Saturday on the 2Klub site. Also more
info on Tin Tin's now up, including an interview with the club's
first resident, DJ Dolly. I'm also hoping Ian M will give me permission
to put up the story he told me recently.
Where are you? It struck me recently that I have no clue where most
of you live, and I'd be interested to know, if for no other reason
that I might try to arrange some trips or group events. Send back
an empty reply just with your town or city. Thanks. (As ever, your
personal info does not get passed on to anyone else). Me? Leamington
Spa.
Ian M's set at Twisted last Saturday. Utterly, mind-blowingly, amazingly
GOOD. The M in "Ian M" must stand for "Maestro"!
This was two hours of sheer bliss, which made everything else played
at the club redundant. Sad then that Trade and Ian M have not been
able to agree terms and that Trade have now substituted Baby Doc
for Ian at their Trade Gold event at the Bank Holiday, (see below),
though they are still billing "Four of the original Trade DJs".
Someone else may know: Was Baby Doc an original Trade DJ?
Riot "Warehouse Experience". Everyone had a great time
last Saturday, (I'm told), but why on earth call it a "Warehouse
Experience" and make people think it's somewhere other than
a club, when in fact it turned out to be in the SE1 club's VIP Lounge?
Twist. Mixed from 5:30am, and postioned as "London's No. 1
hard after-party". Playing host to a number of huge names this
month - Ian M last Sunday, Karim, this Sunday coming, Steve Thomas
and EJ Doubell also booked.
Forthcoming event info provided by promoters follows, including
info on Europride. Those aiming to go to Euopride may be disappointed,
(I emphasise: MAY). I went to Europride in Amsterdam a few years
ago expecting it to be bigger even than London Pride. It wasn't;
it was much less well attended. Manchester's event usually has a
good turn out, but I'm not sure that there's going to be a huge
number over and above what they usually get.
Promoters: please note that I'll provide info to 2Klub subscribers
on your hard dance event at my discretion, if you provide me with
the info. Subscribers: if you find this info of no use or would
like the newsletter not to contain such info please let me know.

BLUE/Afterssential, Birmingham: Though BLUE was initially quiet,
last week both had a good turnout. Paul Baley and Wez will contunue
to pump out the tunes at future BLUEs and next week's guest at Afterssential
(Sunday 10th. August from 4am) is the amazing Andy Farley. Promoter
Alex says "I don't know wot kinda set he's gonna play as he
wants to mix it up a wee bit." Sounds interesting.

is believing and I've certainly never seen anyone go as crazy as that
behind the decks! The guys behind GodsKitchen's ultra funky second
