| Shaft started in 2002 at Decades,
a rather salubrious dive, with a few residents, but moved to renamed
club Radius in early 2003, and now plays guests and residents. The club is run by DJs Col the Medik and Mark H. both of whom play and other residents include Tony De Leon, Padge, Cid and Project K. The club is surprisingly decent, with a powerful sound system for a medium-sized venue, which also has a beer garden which is fun in the summer, or at least when the weather is fine. The music policy at Shaft is hard house and hard trance, and the club attracts a young post Afterssential crowd, rather than people who come out again on Sundays. Entry is only £5, and drinks are reasonable too. Adjacent is a current line-up to give you an idea of what they're up to musically. |
